At Metro Gymnastics fun is the name of the game for the whole family! Throughout the year, you'll find plenty to do from day camps to gymnastics shows. Stop by or give us a call to find out about the current events you and your entire family can participate in!

 

While each Event is Special, there are some general guidelines that apply to all events. Below you will find some basic information that will help your child’s have the best possible experience.

What to Expect
What to Wear
  • Please wear clothes for GYMNASTICS/ ACTIVE play.
  • All long hair must be tied back.
  • Activities are split between the gym and the camp/art room.
  • For GIRLS: A leotard is perfect, if they do not have a leotard, a t-shirt/tank that can be tucked in with shorts/leggings are great too.
  • FOR BOYS: A t-shirt that can be tucked in with shorts is great.

GROUPS

  • Children will be divided into GROUPS based upon age/skill level.
  • Requests may be made to be with siblings or friends, however, activities are planned to be age/skill appropriate.
  • Requests should be reviewed and discussed with event staff.

EVENT ACTIVITIES

  • Specific Event activities vary from event to event.

All Activities will be directly supervised and may include.

  • Play on the swings, pits, inflatable and trampolines.
  • Instruction on the gymnastics events including bars, beam, floor, vault and rings.
  • Arts, Crafts, Educational Activities.
Enrollment and Tuition

ENROLLMENT/PAYMENT POLICIES

  • $30 FAMILY MEMBERSHIP FEE is required for participation in ALL METRO SPECIAL EVENTS if your School Year ‘14 - ’15 Membership is not current
  • EVENT FEE PAYMENT is due PRIOR to event start. PAST DUE BALANCES will be charged to your CREDIT CARD ON FILE within 3 days of event date
  • “LAST MINUTE - DAY OF EVENT” registrations will be accepted based upon availability
  • A $5 administrative fee will be charge for all “LAST MINUTE” registrations
  • EVENT ENROLLMENTS are NON-TRANSFERABLE. No Make-up Dates allowed

CANCELLATION POLICIES

  • EVENT CANCELLATIONS may be made up to 24 hrs prior to event start for a FULL CREDIT of event fee.
  • Cancellations made LESS THAN 24 hrs prior to event start will be subject to a FAMILY CANCELLATION FEE (20% of event fee)
  • NO REFUNDS GIVEN — CREDITS (if applicable) will be posted to your METRO ACCOUNT for future use.
  • “NO SHOWS” will be charged the FULL EVENT FEE. NO CREDITS/MAKE-UPS

DISCOUNTS

  • SIBLING/FAMILY DISCOUNTS are listed under EVENT FEES. No additional discounts given.
  • BRING-A-FRIEND BONUS - Bring a NEW friend (Non-Member first visit only) to an event and receive $5 off each families event fee
  • EARLY LEARNING DISCOUNT - Students currently enrolled in a Metro Early Learning Program (Magic Years - Reaching New Heights - Roots) receive a 10% discount
  • MULTI-EVENT DISCOUNT - When you pre-register for 3 (or more) events AT THE SAME TIME, additional discounts are given based upon specific enrollment. See BETSY (Special Event Director) for details

WELCOME BACK to METRO GYMNASTICS SPECIAL EVENTS!!!

 

After JUMPING – SWINGING – CLIMBING  – BOUNCING our way through 10 – weeks of SUMMER CAMP  ADVENTURES we are gearing up for an even MORE ACTION PACKED Fall and Winter!!
With so MANY Special Events at Metro there will ALWAYS be an option that fits your family’s needs. We strive to provide SAFE, ACTIVE, FUN-FILLED experiences for your child.

 

BELOW is just a taste of the EXCITING events we have at METRO GYMNASTICS CENTER this FALL and WINTER. We hope that you join us at…

 

  • FUNTASTIC FRIDAY’S: A Parent Nite Out!

This MONTHLY (1st Friday of the Month unless otherwise noted) event is an ACTIVE ALTERNATIVE to a babysitter. Parents have 3 HOURS to themselves while our HIGHLY QUALIFIED STAFF play, run, jump and create with the kids. AND we now INCLUDE PIZZA in the event fee!!! Sign up for ALL events in advance to receive additional discounts.

 

  • FUN DAY AWAY – When school  OUT, METRO is IN!!

These NO SCHOOL DAY Events are a GREAT option to keep the kids’ MOVING when school is OUT!! We offer FULL – HALF - EXTENDED times to build the PERFECT SCHEDULE for your family’s needs.

 

  • FALL & WINTER BREAK CAMPS

Our Fall & Winter Break CAMPS provide Gymnastics INSTRUCTION and PLAY as well as CRAFT and THEME based activities to help your kids BEAT THE WINTER BLUES. We offer FULL – HALF - EXTENDED times to build the PERFECT SCHEDULE for your family’s needs.

Rose City Challenge

The 18th Annual Rose City Challenge

Metro Gymnastics Center along with the Metro Boys and Girls Booster Clubs would like to welcome you to the 18th Annual Rose City Challenge, February 27 - March 1, 2015. Once again, the Challenge will be held at the Hoop YMCA and, as always, you will enjoy:

  • Pro Score by University of Washington

There will be over 30 teams competing from 5 different states. We look forward to seeing spectacular routines performed by some of the best gymnasts in the Northwest. It promises to be an exciting three days of quality competition.

What do we do for Drop Off/Pick Up?
  • Camp BEGINS at your registered time. Please plan on arriving promptly at the back entrance.
  • Camp ENDS at your registered time. Please plan on picking up promptly. An additional charge of $5 will be assessed for every 15 minutes camper is here beyond registered camp time.
  • When you drop-off/pick-up please go to the Event Room (across from the Dance Studio) to sign-in/sign-out.
  • Always list any allergies, special pick-up instructions (ie. A nanny or grandparent picking up), and emergency contact on the sign-in/sign-out sheet.
Do you offer Extended Care?
  • Ext Care MAY be available by request for an additional fee. For details see STAY AND PLAY.
  • Pre-Enrollment is required for Extended Care.
What about Snacks and Lunches?
  • We provide healthy snacks at all of our events. We attempt to make accommodations for children with allergies if we are told ahead of time.
  • For all day events, lunches must be brought from home.
  • Pizza “PROVIDED” at FUN NIGHT ONLY
Does my child need to be potty trained?
  • Yes, all event participants must be potty trained.
  • For younger children, please send a change of clothes in case of an accident.
Do events ever get cancelled?
  • All events may be subject to change based upon enrollment.
  • In general, 7 kids are required to hold an event.
  • If an event is cancelled, you will be notified and your Metro Account will be credited the full event tuition.
What do I BRING (or NOT BRING) to EVENTS?

What your child needs to bring EVERY DAY to camp:

  • Backpack with name on the outside – This will help your child keep track of his/her things. Everything needs to fit in the backpack.
  • A water bottle with child’s name on it. If  you not provided we will have some available for purchase for $1 each.
  • For FULL DAY EVENTS – a non-perishable lunch CLEARLY MARKED with their name written on the outside.
  • NO ADDITIONAL SNACKS are required. Healthy snacks will be provided.
  • DO NOT BRING – Money, toys or jewelry of any kind.
Do you allow LAST MINUTE – DAY OF EVENT enrollments?

YES…BUT…

 

  • “LAST MINUTE - DAY OF EVENT” registrations will be accepted based upon availability
  • A $5 administrative fee will be charge for all “LAST MINUTE” registrations
What if my child is sick or wants to go to Grandma's instead?

While we understand that “things come up” we have staffing guidelines and ratios that need to be followed to ensure the safety of the children participating in the event. Please refer to our cancelation policy for more information.

 

CANCELLATION POLICIES

 

  • EVENT CANCELLATIONS may be made up to 24 hrs prior to event start for a FULL CREDIT of event payment to your METRO ACCOUNT. Cancellations made LESS THAN 24 hrs prior to event start will be CHARGED 20% of event fee and the BALANCE will be posted as a CREDIT to your METRO ACCOUNT.
  •  “NO SHOWS” will be CHAERGED the FULL EVENT FEE. NO CREDITS/MAKE-UPS
  • NO REFUNDS GIVEN — CREDITS (if applicable) will be posted to your METRO ACCOUNT for future use.
