Our goal is to provide a positive, safe and successful environment for all Metro athletes. Our job is to create a fun, disciplined, goal oriented program that helps kids to be successful individuals on and off the mat.
Does your child want to learn cheerleading and perform with a team? Not sure where to start and wanting to avoid the time commitment and costs of highly competitive all-star teams? Metro Cheer Center has just the program for you! Check out our options below:

Our skill development classes offer an opportunity to “try out” a cheer program without all the financial and time commitments that all-star (competitive) teams require. During the session students learn all the fundamentals of cheerleading including stunting, beginning tumbling, jumps, motions, dance, formations, and some cheers. This class welcomes a variety of skill levels- from beginners and on!
Students will learn a routine to perform at Metro's Mini Nationals in May and December.
Our middle school team works on developing all the fundamental skills of cheerleading as well as more advanced skills for competition. It functions as a high school prep team for those who need to learn the skills to try out for their high school team but do not want to commit to intense all-star cheerleading to learn them.
Summer practices are mainly focused on skill development while fall practices also include routine building. In addition, this team will learn a competition routine and perform at 2 or 3 local competitions in the winter (fall practices mandatory).
Fall classes to be announced soon!
If you miss a Recreation Cheer class you may have the option to make-up that missed class by attending one of our Trampoline and Tumbling (T&T) classes. You are allowed only 2 make-up classes per 8-week session regardless of the number of classes missed.
